A little about me...

I have been working as a wedding and lifestyle photographer on the North Shore of Boston and beyond since 2011. Prior to becoming a professional photographer, I spent 18 years as a school psychologist, working in elementary and middle schools. I loved working with kids- hearing about their lives and helping them to navigate their world. Every child had their own story, their own hardships and life circumstances. Yet every child had their own hopes and dreams for the future. Their optimism was infectious. So I started thinking about my own hopes and dreams and decided to pursue a career in photography as a way of combining my love of the art and my understanding of human interactions and relationships.

A little about my style...

I am a documentary-style photographer with a relaxed, candid and discreet approach to photographing weddings. I love capturing the big moments of your day without being intrusive. I also love photographing the details and capturing the special moments (big and small) throughout the day in  order to tell your story. When photographing families, I LOVE taking candid photographs using natural light. I love to photograph outdoors and am always looking for new and exciting places to shoot. I enjoy capturing the interactions of families and children as they go about their play and will often take time to watch and interact with them before even picking up my camera. I find that combining a fun outing with a photo shoot is often the best way to capture the true essence of your family.
